What is so special about Allegiant Stadium?
What Happens In Vegas…. Happens At Allegiant Stadium – After a year’s delay of opening for fans due to the pandemic, Allegiant Stadium made its debut in front of a live audience during the 2021 NFL season. Allegiant Stadium is the brainchild of the late Al Davis, the longtime owner/managing partner of the Raiders organization.
From the time you see the shining black and silver exterior of the building (aka The Death Star), you can see his input into the design of the facility. Everything in the stadium, including the bathrooms, is painted one of three colors…white, black, or silver.
One addition made to the stadium after the senior Davis’ death is a 92-foot-tall memorial torch atop the northern end of the stadium. The torch was built using 3-D technology and is currently the largest 3-D printed object in the world. The $1. 8 billion stadium certainly offers all the bells and whistles you would expect of any major building going up in Las Vegas.
- The 65,000-seat stadium features 127 suites and 8,000 club seats spread out over ten levels of seating;
- One of its most important features is a transparent ETFE roof, which allows spectators to escape the oppressively hot temperatures Las Vegas can experience throughout the year;
This also allows the stadium to have a natural grass playing surface, another feature the old school Davis insisted on in the design. Allegiant Stadium uses a similar system to State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, where the 19-million-pound retractable natural turf surface is transported into the stadium via a tray-like structure that can move the grass inside for events and outside to receive adequate sun and water when the stadium is not in use.

Can you take a taxi to Allegiant Stadium?
June 4 / 2021 – The Las Vegas Raiders announced details of the Allegiant Stadium transportation and parking program for the 2021-22 season. The announcement kicks off growing anticipation for the Raiders second Las Vegas season and the first to allow fans into the Stadium.
- At a press conference today at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas Raiders President Marc Badain, who was joined by Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft; M;
- Maynard, CEO, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada; Chuck Bowling, President & COO, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino/Luxor Hotel & Casino; and Captain Roxanne Burke, LVMPD, encouraged fans to explore the many options for getting to and from Allegiant Stadium;
Badain emphasized the ease and convenience of accessing the Stadium from Las Vegas Blvd. by walking across the Hacienda Bridge, which will be closed to automobiles on game- and major event-days. “We are fortunate the Las Vegas resort corridor is so close to Allegiant Stadium,” said Badain.
- “It provides many opportunities for fans to begin and end their day on the Strip at their favorite resort, restaurant or bar;
- The RTC’s Deuce bus runs 24/7 up and down the Strip with a drop-off near Hacienda Bridge, and we expect many resort properties to offer shuttle service to the east side of Hacienda Bridge;
Fans can also take taxis, Uber or other rideshare options, or transit to the area. So, no matter how you get to the Strip, it will be easy to access Allegiant Stadium. At 0. 3 miles, the Hacienda Bridge is a short 10- to 15-minute walk from its east side to the Stadium gate.
” “As proud neighbors of the Las Vegas Raiders, and the leader in the Sports and Entertainment industry, we plan to offer football fans from across the country a Vegas-style sports experience in the Entertainment Capital of the World,’ said Bowling of Mandalay Bay and Luxor.
“Our properties’ proximity to Allegiant Stadium, combined with a variety of live entertainment programming, pre- and post-game activations, and tailgate festivities will create a one-of-a-kind electric atmosphere throughout the 2021 season. ” For those who take Uber or other rideshare services, there are four rideshare lots on the east, south and northwest sides of the Stadium, making it a good option from multiple directions.
A dedicated space west of the Stadium is available for taxis, shuttles, and general drop-off and pick-up before and after games. According to Maynard, the RTC is well positioned to help Stadium-goers with their transportation needs.
“Our popular, double-decker Deuce buses run 24/7 on the Las Vegas Strip every 15 minutes from 57 stops, including a stop nearest Hacienda Bridge at Mandalay Bay,” said Maynard. “That makes the Deuce an easy, efficient and economical way for visitors and locals to get to the Hacienda Bridge regardless of where they are on the Strip.
- ” A 24-hour Deuce pass, priced at $8, allows fans to ride the Deuce to the game, back and anywhere else they would like to go on the Strip;
- For locals seeking a low-cost option to get to the Strip from home, Maynard said the RTC offers many transit routes from all parts of the valley, and riders can plan and pay for their trip on the RTC’s app, rideRTC;
“There is no shortage of parking options for Allegiant Stadium patrons who choose to drive their own cars,” said Badain. “Relative to many comparable NFL Stadiums across the country, Allegiant Stadium has considerably more parking options within walking distance of the Stadium.
- ” There are approximately 35,000 parking spaces within a one-mile radius of Allegiant Stadium;
- This includes 13,000 spaces at multiple lots controlled by the Stadium and priced according to proximity to the Stadium;
Approximately 22,000 spaces are located at nearby resort properties and neighboring businesses. “We encourage those who wish to drive and park their own vehicles to allow plenty of time to get to the Stadium, particularly at the beginning of the season as they become familiar with the area, including streets that will become one-way on game days,” said Badain.
- “We also encourage those who wish to park near the Stadium to purchase parking in advance as day-of-event parking may not be available;
- ” Season parking passes for Las Vegas Raiders home games at Allegiant Stadium will go on sale in June with priority given to Southern Nevada Personal Seat License (PSL) holders and Club Seat buyers;
Allegiant Stadium PSL holders will be contacted via email starting June 4 to notify them of the online process to purchase a season parking pass beginning in mid-June. Official Allegiant Stadium parking and tailgating locations, pricing and walking distances to the Stadium, are available at https://www.
allegiantstadium. com/plan-your-visit. According to Badain, there are approximately 6,000 parking spaces at lots controlled by the Stadium where tailgating is allowed. “In addition, many nearby resorts are planning pre-game tailgating activations to expand the celebratory and fun atmosphere typically associated with an NFL game or major event.
” Single-event parking passes are also available at select lots with tailgating allowed at designated lots only. Single-event parking passes will be available on the SpotHero app later this summer for both Raiders games and other Allegiant Stadium events.
- Single-event parking passes should be pre-purchased in advance as day-of-event parking may not be available;
- “As we experience our first season open to fans at Allegiant Stadium, we expect to learn more about fan preferences relative to parking and transportation;
Any subsequent changes will be announced on our website and shared with PSL holders,” said Badain.

How do I get to Allegiant Stadium?
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Allegiant Stadium is hosting its first full-scale concert this weekend, with many more big events to follow. But between all the tourists and a lack of rideshares, getting there won’t be easy. Stadium officials say the best way to get to Allegiant Stadium is by taking a short walk over the Hacienda Bridge from the Las Vegas Strip near the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino.
- There are plenty of options to get to that point but you should plan ahead;
- Rideshares and taxis may be a popular option but also potentially pricey;
- Expect extra fees and higher fares due to increased demand and a shortage of drivers;
Plus, if you catch a rideshare or taxi, you’ll still have to walk a short way since drivers have to drop off passengers at designated areas east and west of the stadium. If you’re on the Strip, the Regional Transportation Commission’s Deuce bus may be your best bet.
- It runs every 15 minutes, stopping at 57 spots along the Strip, with Mandalay Bay being the closest stop to the stadium;
- Passes cost $5 to $8 for the day and can be bought onboard the bus;
- Click here for the route;
If you decide to drive your own vehicle, you’ll have plenty of places to park. There are more than 35,000 spots within one mile of Allegiant Stadium but parking passes must be purchased in advance using the SpotHero app. Be prepared to pay $50-$100 to park.
- If you’re driving your own vehicle to Allegiant Stadium, give yourself plenty of time and don’t bother bringing cash;
- Allegiant is a cashless stadium, meaning you can only pay for parking and concessions with a credit or debit card or mobile payment;
